What are your career goals?
To provide top-quality care in a calm, safe environment where all animals and their caregivers are treated with respect and kindness.
What's the most inspiring part of your job?
Knowing that I had a hand in helping an animal feel better and returning then to their family. When an animal learns to trust me—it’s the most rewarding part of what I do.
What was your childhood dream job/career?
I never imagined doing anything besides working with animals
If you were a (PICK ONE: animal/food/plant, etc.) what would you be and why?
I would be a cat—independent yet affectionate, observant, and happiest when I feel safe and cared for and never judged for taking another nap
What is your background and experience?
I have 30 years of experience working with small animals, including two years in a pharmaceutical company. I have been Fear Free Certified since 2019, with a special passion for cats and a soft spot for senior pets.
Where would we find you (when not working) on a sunny Okanagan day?
Out mountain biking or adventuring with my dog Jimmy, relaxing with a good book or trying to keep my plants alive.
What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?
Bring compassion, patience, and respect for both pets and their people—when you lead with kindness, you’ll always succeed.
