What are your career goals?

I would LOVE to be able to run a Chihuahua rescue. I also have dreams of opening a flower shop with pet friendly houseplants!

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

Animals are truly a gift, seeing people treat their pets as family really tugs at your heart strings! When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a Zoo Keeper when I grew up.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

If I was a dog I would be a Chihuahua. I would be the perfect size to sneak into your purse and go on adventures!

What is your background and experience?

I have worked many different animal related jobs, caretaking, food packaging & sales, grooming, you name it! A few years ago I graduated from a Veterinary Health Care Assistant program in Vancouver. The first year after I graduated I worked hands-on assisting with all aspects of a veterinary clinic, monitoring for surgeries, reception, cleaning etc. I moved back to the Okanagan 3 years ago and have been working locally as a veterinary receptionist since.

Where would we find you (when not working) on a sunny Okanagan day?

Paddleboarding or taking my beautiful chocolate labrador to the beach!
