What are your career goals?

My current career goals are to utilize my Fear Free certification and provide animals with high quality health care.

In the future I see myself working towards a specialty in Rehabilitation Therapy and becoming an active member of the BC Veterinary Technologist’s Association.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

Making a memorable connection with my patients and clients. The feeling of improving an animal’s overall care experience never ceases to inspire me to do more.

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a Marine Biologist when I grew up. Turned out the coastal life is not for me, so here I am remaining in the beautiful Okanagan.

If you were a dog what would you be and why?

I am your typical golden retriever. I love to socialize, learn very quickly, love the water and am very food motivated.

What is your background and experience?

I have worked in the Veterinary Industry for over a decade starting as a Client Care Representative to a Hospital Assistant and now a Veterinary Technologist.

I have numerous years of experience working with animal dietary treatments as well as assisting in the Orthopedic surgical procedures and recovery Therapies.

I am level 2 small animal, Equine and Avian Fear Free Certified and proud of it.

Where would we find you (when not working) on a sunny Okanagan day?

You’ll find me out on the lake boating, paddle boarding or just floating about.

What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?

If you are looking for a change where you are an important member of a caring and supportive team, want to find new ways to provide a better experience for owners and their beloved pets, enjoy good food and laughs, want support during those tough days – consider joining Silver Star Animal Care Clinic.
